Find inconsistencies before trends
ChatGPT supports analysis of spreadsheets and other structured files.4 In a fictional production export, ask it to identify duplicate job references, missing reason codes and unexpected categories. Reconcile the accepted rows with the source file before comparing shifts. The quality coordinator should explain whether a flagged entry is an error, an exception or a legitimate part of the process.

Give a weekly report stable context
Set up a Project with your approved reporting definitions and a checked example of a factory update. Provide a fresh, de-identified export for each exercise. Ask for observed patterns, supporting rows and questions for the supervisor. Make the distinction between correlation and cause explicit; a common defect recorded during a shift does not prove that the shift caused it.

Build a draft service-report assistant
A custom GPT can hold instructions and reference files for a recurring task.4 OpenAI has, however, announced the retirement of custom GPTs and a move to plugins, so check the plant's workspace before building, or keep the instructions in a Project.5 Test the setup on invented workshop jobs, asking it to separate inspection findings, completed repairs and recommendations. Add a rule to request a part identifier when absent. The reviewer checks the output against the technician's notes, including the difference between a suspected fault and a confirmed diagnosis.

Prepare supplier follow-up questions
Bring a fictional delivery discrepancy, a supplier specification and the purchase-order wording. Ask ChatGPT to organise the mismatch and draft questions rather than decide who is at fault. Use the Project to preserve the agreed product terminology. The purchasing lead verifies every item reference, removes unsupported assumptions and decides which attachments may go to the supplier before sending the correspondence.

- Check totals independently and discuss ambiguous records with the supervisor.
